Lenten Motivation

Happy Tuesday! Today is Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday! Or as I like to call it, Tuesday. :) I am doin it big tonight, not too big but having some sweets though. Then starting Lent tomorrow! I think this year I am going to give one thing up and make myself do one thing. The one thing I am giving up is sodas – I got back into to drinking too many after the last time I gave them up. The thing I am going to make myself do is make my bed every morning. Now, I know some of you are like oh my gosh you don’t already do that? No. That was not something that we did when I grew up and I for damn sure don’t do it now. At this current moment, I don’t even have sheets on my bed and haven’t had any for a good two weeks ha. I really love when my bed is made because when I get home it makes things look slightly cleaner than normal. So those are my two things for Lent. It’s for 40 days (until Easter) so join me and do your own give up or add on.

One of the reasons I love this time of year is because it can give you an extra boost of motivation after your new year’s resolution high has worn off. And if you are religious, it gives it even more pressure (even though Lent is mainly practiced by Catholics and Methodists). But you have to find the things throughout the year to keep motivated. I have definitely lost some of mine because I’m getting bored with keto.

I am in the final days of keto which I’m excited but also nervous about. I have been doing keto-ish for about 6 months total and a little worried to see what happens to my body off of it haha. I have some research to do for vegetarian lifestyle but still losing weight but am ready for April.

I hope you all have a great Mardi Gras and decide to join Lent with me.
